Dr. Larry was raised in the small towns of Kansas, where his passion for animal care first took shape. He developed a deep appreciation for community values and the special bond between people and their animals. This passion led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 1980. 

After graduation, Dr. Larry spent several years practicing in a mixed animal setting, serving communities across Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska. This experience provided a well-rounded foundation for veterinary medicine, working with a wide variety of species and cases. After four years in mixed animal practice, Dr. Larry relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where he now enjoys practicing general veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in surgery. 

Outside of work, Dr. Larry values time spent with family, especially enjoying moments with children and grandchildren . An active member of the community, he is also passionate about pickleball-regularly playing, teaching others, and officiating matches.

Kylie has been a dedicated member of the AVMS team since Dec. 2017. Having grown up surrounded by animals, her passion for animal care runs deep and has shaped both her personal and professional life. When she's not at the clinic, Kylie is an avid equestrian and spends much of her free time riding and caring for her horses. She's also a devoted book lover and collector, fitness enthusiast, enjoys running and staying active.  Kylie lives on a farm with her beloved horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, making animals a part of her world every day-both at work and home. Her lifelong bond with animals and years of hands on experience allow her to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care to every patient she meets.
