Dr. Larry was raised in the small towns of Kansas, where his passion for animal care first took shape. He developed a deep appreciation for community values and the special bond between people and their animals. This passion led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 1980. 
After graduation, Dr. Larry spent several years practicing in a mixed animal setting, serving communities across Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska. This experience provided a well-rounded foundation for veterinary medicine, working with a wide variety of species and cases. After four years in mixed animal practice, Dr. Larry relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where he now enjoys practicing general veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in surgery. 
Outside of work, Dr. Larry values time spent with family, especially enjoying moments with children and grandchildren . An active member of the community, he is also passionate about pickleball-regularly playing, teaching others, and officiating matches.

Laurie is a native of Fort Myers/Cape Coral and spent many years in the small town of Kewanee, Illinois. Laurie began her career in the veterinary field in 1996 and joined Associate's in Veterinary Medicine & Surgery in 2007. Having had her own dogs, cats, horses and various other pets over the years, she understands the importance of providing the best veterinary care possible along with client support and education so owners are able to help their pets live a healthy and happy life. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, kayaking and gardening.

Louann has worked with animals for nearly 50 years with hands on experience supporting general practice and specialty veterinary teams. Skilled in patient care, anesthesia monitoring and client education. She has worked alongside multiple specialists, expanding her knowledge across diverse areas of veterinary medicine.
Having a multipet household with 2 dogs and 2 cats she understands firsthand the bond between people and their animals bringing empathy, patience and attention to details in every case. Known for calm under pressure, advocating for patients comfort and supporting both the veterinarian and the pet owner.

Kylie has been a dedicated member of the AVMS team since Dec. 2017. Having grown up surrounded by animals, her passion for animal care runs deep and has shaped both her personal and professional life. When she's not at the clinic, Kylie is an avid equestrian and spends much of her free time riding and caring for her horses. She's also a devoted book lover and collector, fitness enthusiast, enjoys running and staying active.  Kylie lives on a farm with her beloved horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, making animals a part of her world every day-both at work and home. Her lifelong bond with animals and years of hands on experience allow her to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care to every patient she meets.

Dakota was born in a small town in Georgia, but soon after moved to Sanibel Island with his family. Growing up on Sanibel, at a young age Dakota learned to appreciate nature and animals, being surrounded by a diverse landscape filled with outdoor activities. From then on he knew he wanted to be a vet and is now working towards that goal with college and getting experience as a vet tech. He enjoys fishing, spending time with family, reading and hanging out with his golden retriever. Above all, Dakota cares about animals and wants to do whatever he can to help them, and their owners leave happy.

With a deep-rooted love for all animals, Andrea brings a unique blend of compassion and professional expertise to our veterinary team. A Florida native who grew up right here in our community, Andrea has spent over 25 years building a career based on trust and dedication as a Real Estate agent. Whether she is assisting with patient care or greeting clients, her goal is to ensure every patient feels safe and every owner feels heard. When she isn't at the clinic she stays true to her Florida roots- likely found boating, fishing or swimming in the local waters she's called home her entire life.

Originally from Rhode Island, Michelle successfully owned and operated her own grooming business before bringing her talents to Associates in Veterinary Medicine & Surgery in 1997. With years of experience working alongside veterinary professionals, Michelle is highly skilled in grooming all breeds of dogs, cats and has extensive experience handling pets with special needs. She offers sedation grooming services for aggressive pets, anxious animals and pets requiring grooming for medical reasons under veterinary supervision. 

Born and raised in Southwest Florida, Tatum has had a lifelong passion for animals and a deep love for working with dogs. As a professional dog trainer and proud dog mom, she is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build happy, healthy relationships through trust, structure, and communication. Tatum is the owner of Roots & Paws — Where Good Dogs Grow — offering personalized training, daycare, and boarding services designed to make every dog feel safe, supported, and loved. Her goal is to create an environment where dogs can learn, socialize, and thrive while giving owners peace of mind and confidence in the care their pets receive. Her passion, patience, and commitment to every dog she works with are at the heart of everything she does.

Teagan is originally from southern Minnesota and has been working in the veterinary field since 2019. She has had a lifelong passion for animals and enjoys caring for a wide variety of species, from dogs and cats to livestock. Teagan shares her home with her French Bulldog, Finn, and brings the same compassion and dedication to her work every day. She is a dependable team player who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, remaining calm and focused while helping both her coworkers and patients feel at ease.

As a Veterinary Technician, Kristin is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient that walks through our doors. Born and raised in South Florida, she has had a deep love for animals for as long as she can remember. Her passion extends beyond the clinic, where she cares for her own livestock and a variety of dogs at home. She also enjoys hunting and spending her free time with her hardworking hunting dogs.
Whether caring for family pets, working dogs, or livestock, she appreciates the unique bond shared with every animal.
She strives to make each visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both pets and their owners.

Eugene started at Associates in Veterinary Medicine & Surgery in 2001.
He brings a grounded, compassionate presence to every environment he works in. He is patient, observant, and steady‑handed — the kind of professional who keeps a team centered during stressful cases. With all of his experience and knowledge he is a real "go-to "guy. His communication style is warm but direct, making him a trusted resource for both colleagues and clients. He values integrity, teamwork, and the well‑being of every animal he encounters.

Traci is a Florida based animal lover and dedicated professional who enjoys caring for both people and pets. Born in New York and raised in Utica, she values family and the well-being of her furry family members. Traci also brings a compassionate, detail-oriented work ethic from her experience as a private writer, home health nurse and her background as an award-winning fitness competitor. In her role as a customer service representative she supports the veterinary team with patience, reliability, and a commitment to client and patient care.

Karen comes from the mountains of Colorado, where she was shaped by wide skies and wild places. Her career in human resources taught her how to lead with empathy, structure, and heart. She’s since transformed that experience into meaningful work, centered around animals and their care. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, service and community remain core to who she is. The outdoors is her constant inspiration, from quiet trails to open water and everything in between. She brings mountain-rooted values, and a love for animals into every part of her life and purpose.

Isa came to AVMS with experience in veterinary emergency medicine and is currently pursuing her nursing degree. She has lived in Fort Myers her entire life and has always had a love for animals. At home she has a horse, a pig, three bunnies and a dog!
She loves working here for the opportunity to care for our patients while building meaningful relationships with their families. One of the most unexpected and rewarding parts of her time here has been discovering her love for bunnies—they’ve definitely become one of her favorite parts of the job!
